Workpartners® Names Pat Kalnas Vice President Business Development, Sales & Marketing

PITTSBURGH (Sept. 6, 2022) – Workpartners®, a people activation company, recently announced that Pat Kalnas has been promoted to Vice President, Business Development, Sales, and Marketing.

“Having a world class analytics team and award-winning health and human capital management products, Workpartners is in a unique position to provide a one-stop shop for brokers, consultants and employers seeking to manage their workforce with products and processes that provide a solid, quantifiable return on investment,” said Kalnas.

As Vice President, Kalnas is responsible for all facets of national business development across the Workpartners lines of business, including workers compensation, employee assistance, leave and disability, benefits administration and health and wellness products. He brings to the new role experience as an innovator and entrepreneur in roles that supported Fortune 500 employers’ workforce management needs and that provided assistance to additional health care startups.

“As the founder of his own innovative firm, Pat understands what employers need to support their workforces. He is uniquely qualified to help employers maximize Workpartner’s holistic, evidence-driven approach to ‘whole person’ human capital management,” said Dave Weir, President, Workpartners.  

In 1996, before joining Workpartners, Kalnas founded a company that grew from a consulting company to a leading provider of integrated, human capital management software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. He eventually sold his company, pihms, Inc., to a Fortune 50 company in 2012. 

Kalnas currently serves on the Advisory Board of MDfit and is a past board member of The Greater Pittsburgh Boy Scouts Council, The University of Pittsburgh Katz Business School Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE) and Seton La Salle High School.

Kalnas is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, and he received his Master’s in Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). He has certifications in Technology Commercialization from CMU, Project Management Fundamentals, Change Management, Lean Six Sigma from PMI and Negotiating and Administrating Labor Contracts all from Michigan University.

RxWell Shows Potential to Reduce Anxiety and Depression in Youth

On October 10, 2022, The TODAY show recognized the RxWell app for its part in reducing behavioral health stressors. UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh conducted a study to observe the effect of the app’s use among adolescence. The results of the study showed that 73% of app users saw a reduction in anxiety and 57% saw a reduction in depression. Learn more about the study here.
