Regular health screenings are crucial to getting and staying healthy as you age.
Screenings not only help you treat current health problems, but they also help you detect and prevent future problems.
Additionally, they can help you to get to know your provider in case of any future illnesses. Every year you should do an annual well-visit, even if you are healthy and have no concerns. This can be a great time to find a doctor who is the right fit and build a relationship. It is also a great time to get your blood pressure checked and make an individualized plan for vaccines and screenings, based on your specific needs and your personal and family history.
Below is a table that notes which screenings you should consider at each age. This is a general guide but can vary from person to person. Talk to your doctor to determine the right frequency for you.
